Cover Supervisor

Start Date: November 2023

Contract Type: Permanent, part time (35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)

Hours of Work: 8.30am to 4pm, Monday - Friday. part time hours will be considered

Salary: Grade 4 SP 9 - 12 (FTE £25,119 - £27,334 / Actual £20,323 - £22,116 per annum)

Responsible To: Cover Manager

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic positive person, to join this successful and popular school.

You will be required to:

  • Provide supervision of classes when teachers are absent.
  • Implement set work, monitor students and report on progress.
  • When needed to, provide examination supervision and accompany school trips.

Therefore, we are looking for someone who:

  • Is qualified in English, Maths and Science to at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent).
  • Is willing to work flexibly, use initiative and able to work under pressure.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for supporting young people.
  • Has an excellent sense of humour.

Induction and training will be provided. This post is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a desire to work with young people, who is ambitious, hard-working and keen to develop personally and in their career.
