As a popular and successful school we are always excited to strengthen our staffing team and increase our curriculum choices for students. As well as our popular Design Technology courses of A Level Product Design, Level 1&2 Engineering Design GCSE Design Technology we have introduced a new vocational Level 3 Engineering Course which started in September 2022.

Therefore, we are looking to employ an experienced teacher or instructor with a record of delivering high quality lessons with excellent student outcomes, or a recently qualified teacher.

The post will involve the teaching of Engineering and possibly some Design Technology or Food Nutrition depending on the amount of contracted hours to age ranges personalised to the strengths of the individual teacher.

We are delivering a Level 1/2 Cambridge National Level 2 Engineering Design qualification to students in Year 10 and 11, and the BTEC Level 3 Engineering qualification to students in Years 12 and 13.

In September 2015 the school moved into an award-winning new building, where Technology & Engineering are taught in specialist rooms. The team is very supportive, well resourced and expectations for students are high.

Many of our staff work flexibly in different ways including part-time working. For this role we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours of flexible start and end times. The salary will be discussed at the interview, and depends on qualifications and experience of suitable candidates. Consideration of a TLR will be given for someone to take responsibility for the delivery of engineering qualifications.
